South L.A musician, Davon Lavor’s sound sets him apart from his hometown’s music culture. Not only is Davon an rapper, he produces his own tracks making him a creator. By blending Hip-Hop, Pop, R&B and occasionally Trap, he has created his own lane. Bringing in a kind of freshness to hip-hop with passionate lyrics and smooth melodies that will continuously play over and over again in your head.
His lyrics speak from the heart. His latest single “Be Friends” was inspired by a break up between with an ex. After an hour of being on the phone together, she told him she wanted to be friends. During the conversation Lavor produced a beat and came up with a hook. When he realized what he just created, he hung up the phone on her to record it. It took him about an hour to develop the track. Davon Lavor’s band is releasing their first EP in January called, ‘Endless Summer’. But until then… stay tuned for Davon Lavor’s solo record that will be dropping before the release of ‘Endless Summer’.
