Raja Brings An Indian Flavor To Hip Hop

Hip Hop’s original mold has been stretched over the last few years, but I bet you haven’t heard Hip Hop incorporate an Indian sound. Well meet Raja, a rapper from Long Island, NY with a rich Hindu heritage that offers its own unique contribution to Hip Hop.

Raja found his love for music at the young age of 7, where he started playing the Tabla drums. His family listened to a very diverse catalog of music that included artists from Gloria Estevan to Tupac and Jay-Z. These musical influences led Raja to want to pursue a career in entertainment.

Raja’s music career and popularity began to grow In 2015 when he grabbed a feature in the XXL Magazine Rookie Edition and was the headline performer at the NYC Demiurge Awards – a new recognition system for NYC creative’s doing business and giving back to NYC. Raja is currently performing in the hottest spots from The Supper Club in LA to SOB’s in NYC. He has an EP named REBIRTH  due in January with a few industry heavy-hitters, including Tory Lanez, Fabolous, ProducersRon Browz and James Fauntleroy.

Raja has released a bunch of new records that are sure to create some buzz in The industry. The records “Dark Fantasies”, and “Island Gyal” are aimed towards the ladies. “Island Gyal” gives off summer vibes, and makes you want to dance, while “Dark Fantasies” is a slow, sensual and sexual record that’s real smooth.
