She did it. Cardi B has become the first female artist since Lauryn Hill to have a No. 1 single on the Billboard top 100 charts without a feature. Cardi’s label, Atlantic Records, threw her a celebration in honor of the big accomplishment; and there, they presented her with a Platinum plaque for her hit record “Bodak Yellow.” In attendance were the rapper’s family and friends, along with some of the girls she danced with during her time at Sues Rendezvous.
From the clubs , to Instagram, to Love and Hip Hop, Cardi B has been in the public eye for some time now. Her personality just draws you in. I think it’s safe to say that all of Hip Hop is rooting for Cardi. From media persons like Ebro of Hot 97 to her boo Offset, Cardi is definitely feeling the love.
We love the single, but the world is waiting for a Cardi B album. Will she continue her reign on top? We’ll just have to wait and see. But congratulations Cardi B on this huge accomplishment for yourself and for the culture.
