Do you hear that? It’s more than just mumble rap that is coming out of the south. And this time the lyrics are originating from some North Carolina locals who are not under the Cole World banner. On the contrary, rap duo JaeMansa, composed of first cousins Jae and B are charting their own path. After recently signing a deal with Roc Nation’s Equity Distribution, celebrating with the legendary “Lenny S,” and announcing their newest project, Yung Kings to hit the streets this January 2019 Jae Mansa is picking up steam with plans to dominate in the 1st quarter.
Unlike the VH1 stories that we continuously see depicting the demise of most musical groups, this one seems to be unbreakable. The pair grew up together and has nothing but family surrounding them which leads to a strong foundation and solid bond. And while all families fight, these two have a pact to never argue in the studio. It’s good to know they keep that space sacred.
The “I Swear” rappers admit that they have put in a lot of work to get to this point and they have no plans on slowing down. After switching up their sound and diversifying their beats, Jae, the group’s namesake is excited about the new direction that the music is going in. While still spitting a more conscious flow, Jae and B are working to incorporate current sounds into their music and leave the “Boom Bap” beats in their catalog.
Co-signed by the likes of Fatboy SSE and dancing sensation Shiggy, rapper B lists the likes of Wale, J Cole, and a few other big-name artists on his wishlist to collaborate with. And with Roc Nation behind you, there could be another Jay and Bey that joins forces with the duo. Let’s put it in the atmosphere.
